What Your Clients Get with a Salt Space Virtual Office
A Salt Space virtual office membership gives your client a professional Brisbane address they can use for ASIC company registrations, ABN and ATO correspondence, IP Australia filings, bank account setup, invoicing, and their Google Business Profile. The address includes two business names on the one membership, per single entity, under the same beneficial ownership. Additional entities can be included on a single membership where the beneficial ownership is the same.

The Accountant Referral and Resell Model
The simplest arrangement is a direct referral: you introduce your client to Salt Space, we set them up, and you stay informed. If you want to build it into your own billing, you can oncharge the service at whatever margin works for your practice.
💡 You set the price to your client. We invoice you at our standard rate. The difference is yours. Some accountants add it to a monthly management retainer; others bill it as a separate line item or disbursement. Either approach works and requires nothing formal on our end.
Our annual membership is $480, which gives you a clean cost base. Monthly membership is $40 plus a $30 setup fee, and six months is $240. There is no formal reseller agreement required to get started. You refer the client, we handle onboarding and identity verification, and the service runs from there. The Compliance You Don’t Have to Worry About
This is the part that matters most for your practice. Virtual office services are a designated service under Australia’s AML/CTF legislation, which means the provider must be enrolled with AUSTRAC and conduct proper identity verification before taking on a client.
Salt Space holds that enrolment. You don’t need to.
When you refer or resell our memberships, Salt Space is the reporting entity. We run the customer identification process, maintain the records, and carry the ongoing compliance obligations under the AML/CTF Act. Your role is to connect your client with a properly set up provider. What happens after that is our responsibility, not yours.
What our identity verification covers
- Photo ID of the beneficial owner of the business
- Secondary identifying document issued within the last three months
- Video or photo of the member holding their ID
- ABN or company number verification via the ABR and ASIC
- Sanctions screening against the DFAT Consolidated List and UN lists
All ID is handled directly between Salt Space and your client. We do not require you to collect or transmit identity documents on our behalf.

No. As an accountant referring clients to Salt Space Coworking, you are not the reporting entity. Salt Space holds the AUSTRAC enrolment (No. 2688823000) and carries all AML/CTF compliance obligations. You do not need your own enrolment to refer or resell our service to clients.
Can I add a margin when billing my client for the virtual office?
Yes. You can oncharge the service to your client at whatever rate works for your practice. Some accountants include it in a monthly retainer, others bill it as a disbursement with a handling fee. Does Salt Space handle all identity verification, or do I need to collect documents?
Salt Space handles all identity verification directly with your client. We collect the required documents, conduct the verification, and maintain the records as part of our AML/CTF compliance program. You do not need to collect or transmit identity documents on our behalf.
Can my client nominate me as their contact so I deal with Salt Space directly?
Yes. As part of their membership setup, your client can provide consent specifying that Salt Space should direct all communications to you. Once in place, mail notifications, renewal reminders, and membership queries come to you instead of the client. Consent can be updated at any time if the client’s preferences change.
What happens if my client has multiple companies?
The standard membership includes two business names on the one membership. If your client needs additional entities and they share the same beneficial owner, each extra company is $20 per month added to the same membership. Where a different beneficial owner is involved, a separate membership is required.
How quickly can a referred client get their address set up?
Activation takes 1–2 business days once identity verification is complete and the invoice is paid. We provide a Permission to Use Address document with a unique office number, ready to use immediately for ASIC, ABN, ATO, IP Australia, and general business correspondence.
